the performance of i will always love you blew me away. The performance brought tears to my eyes as the song was used for the funeral of a close relative of mine. I’ve always been a harsh critic to those who perform the song and i think Tara performed the song better than Whitney Houston. I’ve never been a fan of x factor but after seeing Tara I’m watching it as long as she is on and I’ll buy her cds when they made.
Tara. I don’t normally respond to auditions at all. However your audition really made a deep impression upon me and is by far the best I have heard on any music competition programme. Also your voice is definitely the best I have heard in a very long time.
I went on to you tube to listen to other versions and your rendition of I “Will Always Love You”was better than anything I listened to including Leona Lewis’s whom I think is a fabulous singer.
I am writing in the hope that I can influence you to do some thing I would like to suggest should you get through to the Live Shows – and by the way, It would be travesty should you not get through.
I wanted to see how Leona Lewis won X factor when she did so I watched all her X Factor performances and realised that if X Factor participants saw how she owned each song they would also see what it takes to win the competition.
I think you genuinely have what it takes, not just to win, but to become a major international singer – really.
So – my suggestion is for you to do just that.

Wow oh wow what a voice! I was shocked and stunned and I just couldn’t believe what a performance it was. Some of my friends that watch could not believe what they saw or heard either. When I heard that song was going to be sung, I thought ok, this will be interesting as that is a very big and powerful song to sing but wow, first couple of notes and i was blown away. Awesome audition and my winner from that very moment!

Hi Tara-Lynn, the movie Bodyguard has always been one of my favourites, and listening to Whitney Houston singing that special song was definitely one of the reasons for liking the movie so much. However I have to say that in my opinion, your ever so shortened version for the X-Factor audition has just outshone Whitney’s version, and even though the amazing Dolly Parton wrote and sang the song herself, I believe you outdid her as well. I have replayed your YouTube video over and over, and you appear to me to be “playing” with the audience and singing the song with ease. Would love to hear the full version from you someday. A suggestion if I may? Listen to Crystal Gayle’s version of Sandy Mason’s song “When I Dream”. I believe you could do that song justice as well. Cheers, Kel.
